On September 25th, 2018, members of the U.S. Reserve attended the US Navy Memorial Foundation’s Lone Sailor Awards Dinner in Washington, DC.

The U.S. Money Reserve’s partnership with the U.S. Navy Memorial was created after a portion of the proceeds from the 75th Anniversary Pearl Harbor coin series were donated to help fund the “Lone Soldier” statue. The Lone Soldier is the Navy’s iconic image of the military division. The statue was erected in Honolulu, Hawaii in 2016 and represents the honor and devotion the U.S Navy embodies through its service.

The U.S. Money Reserve distributes gold, silver, and platinum products. It is one of the nations largest private distributors, since its inception in 2001. The U.S. Money Reserve not only donates to the U.S. Navy memorial, it also employs veterans. In attendance of the award ceremony was a retired Navy sergeant who’s honor was shared equally between his current employer, and his past.

When rapper Eminem released his surprise album Kamikaze in August, radio personality and best-selling author, Charlamagne Tha God was surprised to hear that he was at the receiving end of one the rapper’s diss tracks called, “The Ringer”. Charlamagne, who hosts the popular urban radio show, The Breakfast Club however, proud of being dissed by the legendary rapper. Charlamagne was notified about the lyrics through his Twitter mentions. The radio host told Esquire.com “I am just happy that I have gotten to the level where rappers who can actually rap say my name in records, regardless if it’s a diss or not.

The beef started between Eminem also knows as Slim Shady and Charlamagne Tha God after the radio host dissed the rapper’s 2017 album, Revival calling it “wack”. Eminem also took offense to the fact that Charlamagne was not too crazy about a BET Cypher that the rapper did in early 2018.

On the diss track, Shady references the BET Cypher… “So finger-bang, Pootie Tang, Burger King/Gucci Gang, dookie, dang/Charlamagne gonna hate anyway, doesn’t matter what I say/Give me Donkey of the Day/What a way for 2018 to get underway/But I’m gonna say everything that I wanna say/Welcome to the slaughterhouse, bitch! Charlamagne Tha God, whose birth name is Larry Thomas McKelvey grew up in a small town in South Carolina. After, a troubled youth and a couple of stints in jail. McKelvey went to night school and got his life together. Charlamagne Tha God eventually rose to become one of today’s most compelling media personalities.

Charlamagne is the author of two New York Times bestselling books, ‘Black Privilege, Opportunity Comes to Those Who Create it’ and ‘Shook One’. He is also an executive producer and is considered a major social media influencer. No doubt Charlamagne considers being called out on a diss track by the likes of a legend such as Eminem, as nothing more than a validation of his ever growing influence and popularity.
