When rapper Eminem released his surprise album Kamikaze in August, radio personality and best-selling author, Charlamagne Tha God was surprised to hear that he was at the receiving end of one the rapper’s diss tracks called, “The Ringer”. Charlamagne, who hosts the popular urban radio show, The Breakfast Club however, proud of being dissed by the legendary rapper. Charlamagne was notified about the lyrics through his Twitter mentions. The radio host told Esquire.com “I am just happy that I have gotten to the level where rappers who can actually rap say my name in records, regardless if it’s a diss or not.

The beef started between Eminem also knows as Slim Shady and Charlamagne Tha God after the radio host dissed the rapper’s 2017 album, Revival calling it “wack”. Eminem also took offense to the fact that Charlamagne was not too crazy about a BET Cypher that the rapper did in early 2018.

On the diss track, Shady references the BET Cypher… “So finger-bang, Pootie Tang, Burger King/Gucci Gang, dookie, dang/Charlamagne gonna hate anyway, doesn’t matter what I say/Give me Donkey of the Day/What a way for 2018 to get underway/But I’m gonna say everything that I wanna say/Welcome to the slaughterhouse, bitch! Charlamagne Tha God, whose birth name is Larry Thomas McKelvey grew up in a small town in South Carolina. After, a troubled youth and a couple of stints in jail. McKelvey went to night school and got his life together. Charlamagne Tha God eventually rose to become one of today’s most compelling media personalities.

Charlamagne is the author of two New York Times bestselling books, ‘Black Privilege, Opportunity Comes to Those Who Create it’ and ‘Shook One’. He is also an executive producer and is considered a major social media influencer. Charlamagne, Tha God, Share His Views On Eminem’s New Album “Kamikaze”

 

Charlemagne Tha God, presenter of the radio show The Breakfast Club recently got dissed on Eminem’s new album Kamikaze. He thought it was great to eternally live through records produced by the Rap God himself.

 

Charlamagne Tha God feels proud to have reached a level in his career where he is mentioned in rap song irrespective of whether it is something good or bad they say. He took it sportingly by saying that getting dissed by the best rapper in two decades, Eminem, made his life better.

 

In his recent interview, Charlamagne talked about Eminem’s rap bashing President Trump and throwing of rants and slurs about Tyler, the Creator. He said Eminem is not affected by offending the LGBT community. Eminem’s use of offensive words against Tyler is also against the millions of members of the LGBT community across the globe. Charlamagne, not being a member of the community understands how the members of the LGBT community might take offense listening to it.

 

Though Charlemagne is neutral regarding Eminem’s take on Tyler, he supported Eminem using his privileges of being white against President Trump. He thinks white people utilizing their privileges is an effective way to combat prejudice. He says the message Eminem tried to convey cannot be discredited. His songs depict the situation of the people across the globe and in the United States. Despite being dissed at, the American radio show presenter thinks Eminem’s new album Kamikaze was far better than his last album Revival. He believes Eminem understood that he needed to come back with something stronger than Revival, and he knew exactly what to do.
